Fire Records releases the digital download version of "Fever," a six-track EP by Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power. The CD version is scheduled for release on 21 July.

Norwegian folk group Storm
Weather Shanty Choir releases Way Hey (And Away We'll Go). The album includes "Drunken Sailor" featuring vocals by Dave Cloud. The song had originally appeared as the "B-side" to the group's "Drunken Sailor" single CD in 2008.

Anheuser-Busch
launches its "True Dedication" ad campaign
for Budweiser beer, featuring Dave Cloud as a mentor for an unnamed
band of Nashville musicians. Created by ad agency Fallon for
the UK market, the campaign includes several TV spots filmed
in Nashville and directed by Harmony Korine, as well as print ads and
outdoor billboards. You can learn more about

After his own performance at Springwater in Nashville, Steve
MacKay (saxophonist for
the legendary band The
Stooges) joined Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power for two songs during
their late-night, garage-rock set. MacKay meshed quickly with the band;
after the first tune he commented to Cloud, "It's like playing
with The Stooges—I
instinctively know when to play and when not to play." |
